On September 18, 2008, Anna Blubaugh, the 2008-2009 National President, presented some of our members with Presidential Proclamations celebrating their years of service to the Lawton Chapter of AMBUCS.  We had 11 members who each had more than 25 years of membership and service to the chapter and each one received their own plaque.

Below is the contents of each proclamation in order of years of service from lowest to highest.

 

WHEREAS, the recognition of Don Greb as an individual making an important difference in his community is a noteworthy event; and

WHEREAS, in 1981 he became a member of the Great Plains Chapter of AMBUCS; and transferred to the Lawton Chapter in 2002; and

WHEREAS, he is a Big Hatter since November 7, 1986; and

WHEREAS, he contributes to the mission and goals of AMBUCS by generously giving to the Living Endowment Fund; and

NOW THEREFORE, National AMBUCS salutes 27 years of service and awards this Proclamation to

WHEREAS, the recognition of Ken Harris as an individual making an important difference in his community is a noteworthy event; and

WHEREAS, in 1980 he became a member of the Lawton Chapter; and

WHEREAS, he is a Life Member since September 10, 1979; and

WHEREAS, he has served as a chapter officer; and

WHEREAS, in 1972 he became a member of the Enid Chapter of AMBUCS and transferred to the Lawton Chapter of AMBUCS in 1974; and

WHEREAS, he is a Big Hatter since January 9, 1989; and

WHEREAS, he is a Life Member since 1983; and
